Greetings from Calico Blackie!

It’s tax time in America. Did you give your “fair share?”

Which leads me to the question….

Just what constitutes a “Fair Share?”

You hear it every year:

“I don’t mind paying my Fair Share, but this is ridiculous!”

And:

“I shouldn’t have to pay for all the “entitlements” that people get for nothing. You know, food stamps, welfare and the like.”

And:

“Where does my tax money go? They show us graphs and charts, but where does it really go?”

Then you hear the people who say….

“Pay up……That’s the price you pay for living in the greatest country in the world!”

Screw ‘em. If you’re willing to lie there and get screwed every year without speaking up, you richly deserve your screwing.

It’s not about paying a “fair share,” no, it’s about having to pay when so much of our tax money is wasted.

It’s about paying and not receiving what we should for our money.

Anyway, back to what constitutes a “fair share?”

You don’t want to pay for “entitlements?” OK, fine. We’ll just end them ALL. No government services. No food stamps. No welfare. No fire department or police. No Post Office. Nothing. Not even an army. Defend yourself!

Imagine if that really happened? You had better have invested in firearms for when the hobo army shows up at your door.

Using the “I don’t need it, so why should I have to pay for it” logic……

I never had kids, so why should I have to pay for schools? Why should I have to pay for daycare centers and lunch programs?

I’ve never been homeless, so why should I advocate for the homeless and want to see more done for those people?

Why?

Because it helps people in need.

Because it’s the right thing to do.

Because it’s putting our tax money where it’s needed.

So, speaking of tax money, did you see this?

GSA grilled over ‘appalling’ spending

“At a congressional oversight hearing Tuesday, Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Calif.,  said he was prepared to systematically pull apart the General Services Administration to the point where “we will make it a question to the American public whether the GSA is needed at all.”

“I’m here to tell you the buck stops here,” said Denham, who heads the House Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management.”

“Where crimes have been committed, people will go to jail.”

“The hearing focused on the GSA’s use of taxpayer money in the wake of recent revelations of lavish spending for a Las Vegas conference in 2010 that cost $823,000. It was the second day of hearings in the matter.”

Do you have any idea how much all this bullshit costs us? Those “lawmakers” are just lining up to suck the government tit for as long as they can.

No, Jeff Denham, the “buck” isn’t going to stop there.

This type of government waste has been going on for decades. We don’t need your damned committee to tell us we’re getting screwed.

If you really want to stop the waste, Mr. Denham, call the police. Let them decide if a crime has been committed and have them arrest the perps. The REAL perps, not just the scapegoats.

It’s time to change the way the government does “business” and it needs to be re-vamped root and branch.

Our government promotes and encourages waste in it’s various agencies and that’s got to change.

Did you know, that at the end of the fiscal year, an agency such as The Department of Agriculture MUST spend whatever surplus they might have, or else their budget gets cut the following year by the amount of what was unspent?

Did you know that if an agency, organization or Tribe  gets a Federal Grant, they MUST spend every dime or they have to give back whatever is left over?

That’s not how to promote fiscal responsibility.

Speaking of fiscal responsibility….Can you imagine what THIS cost us taxpayers?

Chicago Police to Use LRAD Sound Cannons at NATO Protests

“Police in Chicago are preparing to deploy controversial sound cannons against protesters at the G8/NATO Summit next month.”

“The so-called Long Range Acoustic Devices, or LRADs, emit painful and potentially harmful tones over long distances.”

“The device was created for military use, but it was deployed against protesters for the first time at the 2009 G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh.”

“The American Civil Liberties Union later filed a lawsuit on behalf of a bystander, Karen Piper, who said she suffered permanent hearing loss, while the American Tinnitus Association said Pittsburgh protesters had been “acoustically assaulted.”

“They compared the sound pressure to what armed forces might face from an improvised explosive device. Massive numbers of protesters are expected in Chicago when the summit begins next month.”

Don’t you think the money would be better spent in trying to figure out why the peasants are unhappy instead of buying and deploying newer and more efficient equipment to beat down the citizenry of “the greatest country in the world?”

Don’t you think the money spent on “sound cannons” or tanks would be better spent on crowd training for the police, instead of just throwing them out on the streets and giving them newer, bigger and more harmful weapons?

To be able to recognize what is and what isn’t an explosive situation and to be able to react accordingly to defuse a nasty situation before it develops should be an essential aspect of police work.  Proper training is very important.

It might have prevented this……..

Public outrage builds over police officer who fatally shot dog

“On Saturday afternoon, a passerby called 911 around 4:30 to report a domestic disturbance.”

“What the responding officer, APD Officer Thomas Griffin, didn’t know when he arrived minutes later is that the 911 caller mistakenly gave the wrong address.”

“Upon arrival, the first person Officer Griffin encountered was Michael Paxton and his blue heeler, named Cisco.”

Austin police confirmed Monday that Officer Griffin got out of his patrol car with his weapon drawn.

“Why didn’t you get your dog when I told you to get your dog?” questioned Officer Griffin.

“I didn’t know! You just came around the corner and told me to put my hands up. What am I supposed to do?” replied Paxton.

“But you knew your dog was back there, correct?” said Grffin. “I didn’t know anybody was here. I was just walking to my truck,” said Paxton.”

“Paxton says Cisco would never attack anyone but admits that the dog was running toward Officer Griffin.”

“He did challenge him. He came out of the yard barking, running towards him, as he probably would for anybody,” said Paxton.

The officer got out of his car with his weapon drawn? Good Lord! Who trained this guy? Wouldn’t our tax dollars be better spent for additional training instead of going for a .40 caliber pistol with a person behind it who will overreact in a tense situation?
