Greetings from Calico Blackie!
Don’t worry about being arrested. “When you’ve had your shower there will be a bowl of soup and coffee for all”………..
Well, the NYPD arrested over 180 protesters on September 17th.
Because the protesters were exercising their First Amendment rights and the 1% hates it when we do that.
In keeping with the OWS tradition of non-violence, the 1% pretty much had their way with us, while their boot licking toadies cheered.
It reminded me of the schoolyard bullies looking for the kids they knew wouldn’t fight back and then watching as the bullies closed in for the kill.
When I was in the 5th grade, I asked one of the bullied kids why he didn’t even defend himself.
He replied: “What good would it do? I’d get my ass kicked anyway.”
Back then, I watched as the bullies closed in.
Those days are over.
We hold up Martin Luther King and Gandhi for examples of effective non-violent opposition.
Two once-in-a-lifetime leaders in 20,000 years of history.
How many leaders in those same 20,000 years threw off the yoke of oppression and defeated their enemies by fighting back?
Maybe it’s time to fight back.
“That’s exactly what they want” you say?
“It’s better to die on your feet than to live on your knees” I, and Winston Churchill say.
FIGHT BACK, OR THIS WILL AWAIT HUMANITY:
THE PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN 2084
The grim irony is, of course, that slave labor was a way of life – and death – in the camps.
PRISON FOR PROFIT
Able-bodied men and women were made to toil under horrific conditions, many of them to their demise. Their captors, on the other hand, made huge returns, with one camp generating a profit of around $200 million dollars.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A VIOLENT CRIMINAL TO “DISAPPEAR” TODAY
The invasion of privacy made it clear that those incarcerated were not afforded even the smallest shred of human dignity.
Their crime was simply to be born into the wrong race or religion.
The fact that their captors were able to see these people as less than human underscores the power of hateful indoctrination and unquestioning compliance.
HOW COULD WE HAVE LET IT HAPPEN???
The most difficult idea to get one’s head around is how people could engage in such wide-scale slaughter of other human beings so similar to themselves. The victims were normal folk – people who rode bikes, picnicked with their children, and posed with friends for photographs.
“The local population is fanatic and… ready to do anything against the hated camp garrison,” wrote one commandant. “Every prisoner who manages to escape can count on all possible help as soon as he reaches the first homestead.”
This is our future if we don’t act now.
Don’t let it happen.
Never give in to slavery.
Never give in to corporatism and the prison industrial complex.
Never complacently accept the world of 2084 that the 1% has planned for you.
OCCUPY WALL STREET!
