Greetings from Rural America!

I’m sorry fellow Americans. They made me say it!

Well, it appears as if the corporate propaganda machine is at it again.  This time they’ve found a new ally.

Comic book writers!  They’re ramping up the arsenal.

They’ve enlisted Batman!

In the “news” today:

Frank Miller Doesn’t Think Much of Occupy Wall Street

“Frank Miller, the legendary comic artist behind Sin City, 300, and The Dark Knight Returns unloaded on the Wall Street protesters in a recent blog post, and plenty of his fans are firing back.”

Here are his words:

“The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment.

“Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.

Calico Blackie says:

Uh, have you seen Batman lately?

What is this? Batman in Hell? He’s coming after Robin. Can’t be Batman. That’s Jerry Sandusky in a Batman suit!

Calico Blackie says:

Is that the best you can do, Frank?

Name calling?  Parroting Fox “news” and their pack of paid liars?

Harm America?

What about the crap you’ve been turning out lately that poisons the minds of our youth?

We are trying to fix America before all hope is lost and “We the People” are crushed beneath the Wall Street steamroller.

Cowardice?  Demanding a “Government of the People, By the People, and For the People” and being ready to protest for these ideals is cowardice?

“Louts, thieves and rapists?”  It sounds like you’ve been writing fantasy for so long that you can’t see reality anymore.  You’ll buy any lie that’s fed to you by the 1% and their henchmen.

Frank Miller then goes on with his tirade:

“Occupy” is nothing short of a clumsy, poorly-expressed attempt at anarchy, to the extent that the “movement” – HAH! Some “movement”, except if the word “bowel” is attached – is anything more than an ugly fashion statement by a bunch of iPhone, iPad wielding spoiled brats who should stop getting in the way of working people and find jobs for themselves.

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed - A. Hitler

Calico Blackie says:

“Bowel Movement”?  C’mon Frank. The bell rang. Recess is over. It’s nap time!

He keeps on the corporate line of “spoiled brats” that need to “find jobs.”  Good Lord Frank!  That tired old horse was beaten to death weeks ago, yet you and your cronies on Wall Street and the mainstream media keep repeating it like a chant.

I guess they think that if they repeat it enough, people will believe it.

You know, when a jackass like Frank Miller starts to spout drivel for the enjoyment and gain of his masters, I don’t usually even reply, and I don’t sink to their level.

But just this once……

I’ll see your deluded Bizarro Propaganda World Batman and raise you Captain America!

Police clear out downtown Occupy Oakland camp

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — “Riot-clad law enforcement officers cleared out a weeks-old anti-Wall Street encampment just before dawn Monday, arresting several dozen Occupy demonstrators and clearing out tents from a downtown Oakland plaza after issuing several warnings over the weekend.”

“Protesters put up little resistance and officers could be seen leading some handcuffed demonstrators away.  Police blocked off surrounding streets before Monday’s raid. Afterward, some demonstrators gathered near the barricades and vowed to return.”

Portland Oregon:Police moved in. An officer on a loudspeaker warned that anyone who resisted risked arrest and “may also be subject to chemical agents and impact weapons.” Demonstrators chanted “we are a peaceful protest.”

“We were talking about what we were going to do and then they just started hitting people. Seems like a waste of resources to me,” protester Mike Swain, 27, told the AP.”

“Portland Mayor Sam Adams Sunday defended his order to clear the park, saying it is his job to enforce the law and keep the peace. “This is not a game,” Adams said.”

Calico Blackie says:

Here’s your “game,” Mr. Mayor: Theodore Roosevelt………..

Meanwhile…..

Has anybody noticed this between watching episodes of “Dancing With the Stars” and what Paris Hilton wore last week?

Banks Quietly Ramping Up Costs to Consumers

“Even as Bank of America and other major lenders back away from charging customers to use their debit cards, many banks have been quietly imposing other new fees.”

“Need to replace a lost debit card? Bank of America now charges $5 — or $20 for rush delivery.  Deposit money with a mobile phone? AtUS Bancorp, it is now 50 cents a check. Want cash wired to your account? Starting in December, that will cost $15 for each incoming domestic payment at TD Bank. Facing a reaction from an angry public and heightened scrutiny from regulators, banks are turning to all sorts of fees that fly under the radar. Everything, it seems, has a price.”

“Banks tried the in-your-face fee with debit cards, and consumers said enough,” said Alex Matjanec, a co-founder of MyBankTracker. “What most people don’t realize is that they have been adding new charges or taking fees that have always existed and increased them, or are making them harder to avoid.”

In keeping with the “fantasy theme” at the beginning of today’s column, here are a couple of predictions for the future, if “occupy” is crushed or fades away this winter:

Calico Blackie says:

We’ve got to succeed NOW!  Or come this spring, when we return, the Mayors, Cops, and their other forces of doom will be waiting for us.  It will look something like this:

Spring 2012 Scene of Occupy Boston Massacre?

There are some people that seem to enjoy getting screwed for the maximum profit of Wall Street.

We must continue to protest.

Even if there are ignorant people out there that buy everything the propaganda machine tells them.

Even if they call us juvenile names and “cherry pick” the news for their “facts.”

We must keep up the fight.

But, after a few “occupy Boston Massacres”, and the American People realize they have been supporting a sham government owned by Wall Street, the scene will look more like this:

Summer 2012 Scene at Occupy Wall Street, New York City?

If we don’t succeed?  Too terrible and Orwellian to contemplate.

Keep the lamps of freedom lit so that we don’t have to sadly tell our grandchildren:

“We were the 99%” when they ask us why we let the forces of darkness take over the world.

Read the book “1984.” The clocks are striking 13

RESIST THE CORPORATE MAGGOTS THAT PREY UPON SOCIETY

Remember people, stay united.

United, we win!

We are the 99%
