Well, it seems as if the Canadian government is moving to end the “occupy” protests in their country.
I guess they would prefer to let it simmer in the background until it boils over and they have a real problem.

Police are clearing Occupy Santa Rosa encampments from a City Hall lawn this morning. Police say the action began just after 4 a.m.
As public safety and sanitation concerns with the Occupy Santa Rosa encampment persist, several council members said they are no longer interested in debating terms of a camping permit for the group, and instead want the tents removed from the City Hall lawn.

Medvedev: Russia May Target Missile Defense Sites
Russia will deploy new missiles aimed at U.S. missile defense sites in Europe if Washington goes ahead with the planned shield despite Russia’s concerns, President Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday.

The United Nations strongly condemned what it called the use of excessive force by security forces.

I read this comment yesterday regarding the “occupy” protests going on in the United States:
“Right to assembly is one thing, blocking walkways, sidewalks, and driveways are quite another.”

Where then would you suggest people exercise their right to assembly other than public places?
The only place I can think of in a city where a large number of people could exercise their Constitutional right to assembly where they wouldn’t be blocking walkways, sidewalks and driveways would be a park. And we saw what happened to people who did that in Zuccotti Park and in other parks throughout the country.

Here’s another thought about our media here in the US:
After watching O’Reilly and Kelly on the news yesterday defending the UCPD for their assault on peaceful protesters, why do I get the feeling FOX would have defended the Kent State killings if it had been on the air back then?

O’Reilly: “Yeah, Megyn. If those protestors had just moved on when ordered to do so, they wouldn’t have gotten shot! They should have respected authority.”

So…..What’s the main problem with our media here?
The problem is that the mainstream media in this country have multiple political pundit shows that spin and spin the truth.
They flood their viewer’s minds with misinformation, lies and non-issues to the breaking point where there is no room for real news.
Anytime you have to fill 24 hours there is going to be garbage being presented.
It’s our job to sift through the trash.
