IT’S A NEW YEAR – AND THE YEAR IS 1984
on December 27, 2012 at 11:50 amGreetings from Calico Blackie!

This was taken at the very start of the storm. Pretty at first. Bearable. Kinda like giving up a few of our rights at a time. Bearable for awhile.
We had a really bad storm come through the Klamath River Country and we lost power for 102 hours and lost phone service for about 40 more hours.
We got beat up pretty bad, but we were ready for it. Extra fuel. Extra batteries. Non-perishable food.
A woodstove with plenty of wood.
Yet, it was rough. Big trees down everywhere blocking roads. It’s still a mess and will be for awhile.
If this had happened almost anywhere else in the Country, it would have been declared a disaster area.
Power lines down across roads and houses. Just a mess.

When I told a “city boy” we’d lost everything in our freezer because of the power outage, he actually said: “Why didn’t you just put all that food outside?” Yeah, right. Well thought out. Kinda like saying: “The police will protect us”
It’s a creepy feeling laying in bed at night in the pitch dark listening to branches and big trees snap and fall all around the neighborhood and lay there wondering if that huge tree is going to fall and crush you to death in your bed.
Hell, we still can’t get out of our driveway, even with four wheel drive. I guess if there were any homeless people camped along the creeks and rivers up here, they’re all dead now. Does anybody care?
Anyway, while we were out of contact with the rest of the world, a lot has been going on.
They’re still arguing about the 2nd Amendment, but it’s clear to me that the propaganda machine has done it’s job well and our government will soon have even more control over you & me.
But, it’s for our SAFETY!
Speaking about the 2nd Amendment fight and safety…..
Has anyone been following this story?
Journalists’ Addresses Posted In Revenge For Newspaper’s Google Map Of Gun Permit Owners
A week after the Newtown massacre, The Journal News published an interactive Google Map with the names and addresses of gun permit owners in select New York cities.
The bold move has escalated into a transparency arms race, after a Connecticut lawyer posted the phone number and addresses of the Journal‘s staff, including a Google Maps satellite Image of the Publisher’s home.
“I don’t know whether the Journal’s publisher Janet Hasson is a permit holder herself, but here’s how to find her to ask,” read Christopher Fountain’s blog post.
The double irony here is that open data was heralded as a tool of enlightened civic dialog, and has been co-opted for fierce partisanship, bordering on public endangerment.

I read a comment which stated:
“Gun owners make me sick. They think their gun is more important than the safety of my children.”
Yeah, well…..
Get stuffed.
When your children are dying in factories and living in an Orwellian “right to work” world with no means in which to fight their oppression, let me hear you talk your hysterical crap then.
A further comment stated:
“The Constitution was written by a bunch of old men 250 years ago and doesn’t even apply to us anymore.”
The propagandists have done their job well.
Oh, here’s an item you won’t see on the nationwide news:
Man Attempts to Open Fire on Crowd at Movie Theater, Armed Off-Duty Sheriff’s Deputy Drops Him With One Bullet

How do you propose we fight the police state if we’re all disarmed? By getting arrested and sent to work in the prison industrial complex? Yep. That will get their attention!
With one shot, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy took down a gunman who attempted to opened fire at a crowded movie theater lobby during a late night showing of “The Hobbit” in San Antonio, WOAI reports.
Police say a gunman, chased patrons from the nearby China Garden Restaurant into the lobby of the Santikos Mayan 14 movie theater at around 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Garcia, an employee of the restaurant, reportedly walked in the establishment looking for a woman.
When the woman, also reportedly a restaurant employee, wasn’t there, Garcia pulled out a gun and attempted to open fire in the restaurant but his weapon jammed.
“It started at the restaurant and then went into the parking lot and then into the movie theater,” Deputy Lou Antu told 1200 WOAI news.
The commotion sent horrified restaurant patrons into the movie theater lobby, but the gunman followed. He again attempted to open fire, and this time his gun didn’t jam. Garcia reportedly shot one man in the chest before Antu says an off-duty sheriff’s deputy working security the theater shot him once, dropping him to the floor.

Well, when you become a “victim” with no means of defense, don’t worry. He’ll be happy to find you & your wife’s bodies and fill out a report!
Draw your own conclusions from the above news story.
It doesn’t matter anymore. How can one argue with hysteria? The other day, I read the remarks of a person who is all for a total ban on ALL firearms. She said:
“The cops in Alaska carry Glocks. Those things can put down a POLAR BEAR! Why would anybody want one?”
Heh.
Here’s someone who obviously doesn’t know a single thing about firearms and yet she’s spouting off as if she was an expert on the subject.
The worst part is, the choir she’s preaching to are all in agreement, nodding their heads and uttering exclamations of dismay.
Nobody bothers to question that type of logic.
Maybe it’s not worth it…….
Fuck it….
1984, here we come. Don’t say I didn’t tell you so. Here is your future, America:
Samsung Chip Factory Causes Cancer, South Korea Government Finds
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A South Korean government agency said Friday that working at a Samsung Electronics factory caused the breast cancer of a worker who died earlier this year, only the second time it has recognized a link between cancer and Samsung’s chip plants.
The Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service, which is part of the labor ministry, ruled earlier this month that there was a “considerable causal relationship” between the woman’s cancer and her five years of work at a semiconductor plant near Seoul. The ruling didn’t become public until Friday when the agency announced compensation for the woman’s family.
Samsung spokesman James Chung said it will not appeal the government’s decision. The company is the world’s largest maker of computer memory chips.
There have been very few cases in South Korea in which a link between working conditions and cancer has been convincingly demonstrated. Nearly 30 South Koreans have filed claims with the agency that working at Samsung caused rare forms of disease, cancer, multiple sclerosis and brain tumors.

They have a “right to work” in Nogales too. Just think, “they actually WANT those jobs.” NO THEY DON’T. THEY’RE FORCED BY ECONOMICS TO WORK THEM. IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT HERE TOO?
I can hear it now……….
“What the hell. They’re a “Right to Work” COUNTRY!”
“What did they expect? A right to a safe work environment too? They’re lucky to have jobs at all! Fuck ‘em.”
This is the type of mentality that is killing our country too.
The mainstream media picks up and publishes whatever they want you to know.
They convince a few, and keep harping on a topic until the masses are swayed in their direction.
Are you in favor of “right to work”?
That being said…..
I wonder how many of you will willingly and gleefully rat out your gun owning neighbors to the police if a gun ban is instituted?
You might even get a pat on the head and a reward for keeping your neighborhood SAFE!
Yeah, YOU! The very same person who will whine about the police state, and then turn in a friend.
DON’T BE A GOD-DAMNED DUPE! Think for yourself.
FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM
OCCUPY YOUR OWN MIND!
IT’S A NEW YEAR – AND THE YEAR IS 1984….
And we’re bringing it on ourselves.
