Greeting from rural America!
Well, Nevada holds their GOP primary caucus in Nevada today. All the candidates want to go there.
Imagine that. All the candidates want to go to a place where prostitution is legal within the “Houses,” but is still illegal for the little people on the streets.
A place where organized crime once held sway but was eventually replaced by big corporations with glitzy names.
A place where gambling is legal, yet the games have been legally rigged, so that Joe Public really doesn’t stand a chance.
A place with high unemployment and broken dreams for the average citizen, but a great place if you’re one of the very few lucky winners. Yes, all the candidates want to go there.
But, enough about Washington DC. and the legalized prostitution in both houses where our politicians cozy up to the highest bidder. Let’s have a look at the Nevada Caucus.
Will Nevada give Romney a second straight victory?
“Mitt Romney has a chance on Saturday to do what no Republican presidential candidate has done so far this cycle: win two contests back to back.”
“Consider the Silver State almost home-field advantage for Romney. He won the caucuses here four years ago in his first bid for the GOP nomination, grabbing 51% of the vote, far ahead of Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who was in second place at 14%.”
“According to exit polls from the ’08 caucus, Mormons made up a quarter of the electorate, and Romney, who’s a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, won 95% of their vote.”
Calico Blackie says:
Of course Romney won 95% of the Mormon vote. Did anybody expect anything different?
Then there’s this:
Occupy D.C. raided by Park Police
“Police in riot gear and on horseback entered the Occupy D.C. encampment at McPherson Square around 5:30 a.m. today and began collecting pallets and other items from the campers.”
“Four people were arrested when they refused to leave an area in the center of the park where workers were trying to clean up. Two others were arrested later; it was not immediately clear what the charges were.”
“Protesters said they had expected the raid, but some were surprised at the magnitude of the response, which included dozens of officers, fire hoses and a paddy wagon.”
Calico Blackie says:
Of course they raided the DC Occupy Camp. Wall Street and their wholly owned subsidiary in Washington DC only want obedient and ignorant citizens who wave the flag while they’re being screwed.
Why don’t we just cut the shenanigans and bullshit and put a famous pimp in charge of the country?
Think about it.
Would anything be that different? A pimp knows how to run a business and knows how to promote his “product.”
There’s no offshoring or outsourcing and “clients” are well taken care of. Especially the rich clients.
The rich client pays and the payment ensures that they get what they want. If you don’t have the money, you get nothing.
There would be none of this pretense of “choice” for the average Joe. Don’t have enough money? Go away.
If you don’t have the money, they don’t give a damn about you.
At least it would be more honest, and the head pimp would be on Wall Street.
No sense living in DC and stinking up the place when the prostitutes can keep up the facade of being in charge for you.
Speaking of facades:
Newt Gingrich’s Nevada campaign unraveling
“When asked about why he was holding only one event a day, Gingrich on Wednesday said that more were being added. But the events haven’t materialized. When they have, there’s been little time to promote them to the general public.”
“Most of Gingrich’s time in Nevada is instead devoted to fundraising.
The state is home to Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate and primary patron of the Gingrich super PAC that has run blistering negative attacks against Romney and allowed Gingrich to remain in the game, as far as TV advertising is concerned.”
Calico Blackie says:
Heck. The State is also the home of Dennis Hof, but he endorsed Ron Paul. It figures.
At least he’s “up front” about it. Hopefully, Dennis Hof, the other brothel owners in Nevada, and the ladies that work in those brothels don’t sue poor old Calico Blackie for defamation of character for comparing them to Washington DC politicians and Wall Street power brokers.
Time for me to go cut firewood. Stay safe out there and SPEAK UP!
Occupy Wall Street!
Occupy wherever change is needed!
Keep the faith
