Greetings from Calico Blackie!
The hit counter for this site has been going crazy ever since I posted a photograph of Madonna exposing her right breast at a concert in Turkey, so it’s obvious to me what my readers want to see.
In keeping with the theme of postmodernism and also in keeping with what my readers want to see on my webpage, I thought I’d post another picture of Madonna exposing her right breast.
I hope you’re happy now!
As I said in my last column: “More and more, we’re hearing about how the “Occupy Movement” is either dead, or that it needs to head in a different direction.”
After giving that some serious thought, consider this concept:
The Occupy Movement is far from dead. It has evolved. The idea of it being dead is just wishful thinking on the part of the 1% and the idea is being wishfully touted by both the mainstream media and also by our political parties.
Both political parties are trying to convince us that Occupy is dead and thereby they want to fill the vacuum by giving us another cause to fight for.
They are hoping to use our dissatisfaction and anger and translate it to votes for their candidate in November.
Don’t fall for it!
It’s just a ploy to channel our anger into avenues supporting the 1% and “business as usual.” It’s puppetmaster propaganda on a grand and very clever scale.
Although we don’t hear of almost daily arrests and protests throughout the country anymore, they are still happening. Just not on as large a scale as before.
What has come out of the Movement over the past months is that it has created a whole new generation of Minutemen that are ready, at a moments notice, to take to the streets.
Back in the days of The American Revolutionary War, Minutemen were a group of citizen soldiers who kept themselves ready to appear without warning and within a moments notice, at any place they were needed to fight oppression.
So, now we have a new group of Minutemen.
A whole huge group of fed-up citizens that can, in massive numbers, appear at any given place and time, to protest corruption, greed and injustice, as was witnessed recently in Chicago for the NATO Summit meetings.
A whole new group of citizens that are not afraid of the machine anymore and are ready and willing to take to the streets.
A whole new group of citizens that have taken to the streets and know what they’re in for when they face off with the armies of the 1%.
The Occupy Movement has created a whole Postmodern group of citizens that are fighting to keep “Occupy” independent by not allowing itself to become fragmented or co-opted.
“Postmodernism attacks the use of sharp binary classifications such as male versus female, straight versus gay, white versus black, and imperial versus colonial; it holds realities to be plural and relative, and to be dependent on who the interested parties are and the nature of these interests.”
We’ve all seen the protests where groups such as PETA or MoveOn show up and try to turn the demonstration into a partisan circus for THEIR cause.
Each time this happens, the media will pick up the story and run with it, depicting the Occupiers as fringe group lunatics, tools of the left, or people with no clear message at all.
And that’s exactly what the 1% wants YOU and the Archie Bunker types in America to think. They want you to fall for their distorted version of their truth and give up.
They want to divide us.
We are postmodernists that have discarded the use of sharp binary classifications.
The core people in our group know that it all comes down to fighting for HUMAN RIGHTS, with no classifications.
All individual rights for every group falls into place when we unite under the banner of HUMAN RIGHTS.
And that scares the hell out of the 1%.
That’s why we will even see some of the most outspoken members of the Movement saying “The Movement is dead.” They’ve allowed themselves to be bamboozled by the propaganda of the 1%.
So, don’t listen to the puppetmasters when they say: “The Movement is dead.” Don’t be their tool. Don’t help their cause.
Most of us saw the spectacle of Jamie Dimon being fawned over by our “elected representatives” in Congress yesterday. Is that what we want?
Is that what we will settle for?
THROW THEM OUT. END CORPORATE CONTROL OF OUR GOVERNMENT
Independence Day is approaching. So are the GOP and Democratic Conventions.
We are the new Minutemen.
PREPARE! BE READY.
When the protesters are outside your door and in your neighborhoods, where will you stand?
I know where I’ll be.
OCCUPY WALL STREET
