Greetings to all who love Human Rights and are willing to fight the good fight!

Sign seen at Occupy Chicago. Why do you think our government and Wall Street has such a problem with this?
Yeah.
Thomas Jefferson would be getting pepper sprayed right now while Fox “news” was saying “that dirty hippie should just move to China if he doesn’t like it here.”
I originally started this website/blog with the intention of using it as a voice to call attention to the plight of the homeless in America.
Then, the “occupy” protests started and I realized that many of the “occupiers” demands and goals were directly tied to the homeless issue.
Foreclosures.
Greed to the point of being detrimental to our freedom.
Wall Street putting maximum profit before humanity.
OWS is against the poverty that is threatening to crush all of us, and they’re working for solutions.

Why do you think our government, the willfully ignorant, and Wall Street have such a problem with this?
I also saw that the OWS detractors chanted the same tired mantra that I had heard in comments from people when I became active with the issue of homelessness.
You can tell me “Oh those people made bad choices in life, so they deserve what they get.”
And while it’s true that many did make bad choices, we can’t take away the fact that they are still human beings and do deserve a better life.
We live in America, and yet a good portion of our population are still living in poverty and/or homeless.
I find it shameful.

“They made poor choices in life” “I made it and so could they” “They just want handouts” “Those bums should get a job”
Now, if you try to demonstrate for the common good of humanity in this country, you get beaten, pepper sprayed and arrested for caring enough to do something about it.
You get called a “dirty hippie,” or much worse.
That is also shameful.

Remains of 1,639 ‘nameless’ buried in LA
By Patrick Healy and Reva Hicks, nbclosangeles.com
The Los Angeles County Cemetery in Boyle Heights exists for those who die disconnected from family and society, and once a year, their remains are buried — but perhaps more importantly, their lives are commemorated.
The county becomes their family and performs a dignified burial.

The end of the line
“Their stories need to be honored,” said Rev. Chris Ponnet, of St. Camillus Center for Spiritual Care, where many of the individuals being buried had lived their final hours.
The cremated remains of 1,639 persons were put in a common grave Wednesday.
All died out of touch with their families.
“These are the faceless, nameless people that probably you see all the time, with their shopping carts and black bags, who end up in our emergency rooms,” said Health Services Chaplain Rambhoru Brinkman.

Erased memories. Erased lives
Calico Blackie says:
It’s so very sad.
Those people had lives.
Somebody once loved them, and they loved someone.
They had feelings.
I guess that many of the “get a job” crowd will never care about that unless they find themselves with their backs against the wall.
Until then, it’s easier for them to ignore the homeless while they sit on their big fat asses and watch Fox “news” cast aspersions on the OWS Movement for fighting for all of us.
So, what are we doing about it?
We’re fighting the good fight!
From MSNBC
Mayor issues ultimatum to Occupy Boston: Get out of town by midnight tonight or city will remove them from Dewey Square

Well Bill, we could use the homeless essentially as a food product!
From:
The San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate)
Occupy SF regroups after raid, clashes with cops
About a half dozen Occupy protesters were arrested and later released during the evening, but police eventually pulled back after demonstrators refused to leave the plaza. The group greeted the police retreat with cheers and chants of “our park” and “cops are the 99 percent.”
More than 100 police officers, along with sheriff’s deputies, firefighters and public works crews, converged on the camp at the foot of Market Street early Wednesday and gave protesters five minutes to clear out.
The 70 were arrested on suspicion of illegal lodging and camping in a public park. Two were also arrested on suspicion of felony assault on a police officer after they threw a metal chair at him, hitting him on his face shield and causing minor injuries, Officer Albie Esparza said.

The direction we're headed in? Those are Poles being executed. They WILL eventually get around to YOU
Calico Blackie says:
Remember, if you use your constitutional right to fight back against the police for trying to exercise your constitutional rights, when assaulted, it’s felony assault on a police officer.
Here’s one of the comments after the article:
“Occupy Wall Street: Thousands of angry people with worthless lives trying to show everyone that they matter. The rest of us don’t really care that your lives havn’t quite worked out. We don’t complain when things get bad, we take the lumps and keep moving on. Leave the vermin encampments behind. Go take a nice, long, hot shower. Have some coffee. Clear your head.”
“And then go find a job or something else that will pay your bills b/c the rest of us responsible adults have had enough of your crybaby insults. Start pulling your own weight if you want respect.”
Calico Blackie says:
Sound familiar?
The same old “get a job” and “worthless lives,” and “we don’t care.”
That’s the same thing these residents of Stepford say about the homeless.

SHUT IT DOWN. FIGHT FOR YOUR COUNTRY
Why do I get the feeling that these same people would be fine with rounding the protesters AND the homeless all up and gassing us in concentration camps?
Maybe that’s the direction we’re headed in.
Also in the news:
Occupy Denver: Shut Down Wal-Mart
It appears that the West Coast occupations won’t be the only ones stirring the pot on December 12′s Port Shutdown action.
In solidarity with the December 12 action, Occupy Denver called on “land-locked” occupations to disrupt Wal-Mart distribution centers.
Essentially ports of land, Wal-Mart distribution centers are the backbone of trucking goods to the thousands of Wal-Marts throughout the country.

Occupy Binghamton, New York posted on their Facebook page:
Day: Saturday Time: 1-4pm

ALL OVER THE USA!
The GA will be held at the Occupy Binghamton encampment, downtown at the corner of State and Court streets.
We invite all regional and upstate NY occupations to join in a discussion about how to proceed in the coming winter months.
From Occupy Portland:
“Please join us on 12/12!
Meet up at 6 AM at Kelley Point Park!
We will rally and then head to the Port together!
Kidakita Saw this on twitter yesterday:
“In Texas a concealed gun permit is acceptable ID to vote but not a Texas college student ID. Most concealed gun permits are held by guess who!!”

@kidakita replied:
“So? Do something about it. Buy a gun. learn how 2 use it. Get a permit.
It would scare the hell out of them if we ALL did it!”
Calico Blackie says:
Think about it.
If suddenly there was a 10,000% spike in gun sales in this country, the 1% would get very worried.
All a concealed carry (CCW) permit will do is tell the cops where to find you if they banned guns in this country.
But, it’s easier to keep the blinders on, isn’t it?

Katy Perry's vagina AND Victoria’s Secret! Who cares about the REAL news?
Here’s the crap we’re being fed today:
From MSNBC (and everywhere else)

Tasteful
The event of 2011 that you’ve all been waiting for is nearly here: Lindsay Lohan’s appearance in Playboy.
While Lohan’s decision to pose for the magazine might seem like a suspect career move for many, her mother Dina has insisted that the pictures will be “tastefully done.”
Calico Blackie says:
An event we’ve all been waiting for?
Who writes this stuff?
Lohan has already “shown the goods” to the world and this reminds me of a pitch you would get at a used car lot when the salesman tries to impress you by showing you a worn out beater that has already been driven by half the population.
But wait! There’s more!

Two Wall Street executives taking in a game
It seems as if the California Angels have signed a baseball player!
Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports reports that Pujols has agreed to sign with the Angels, getting a 10-year contract worth between $250 million and $260 million.
Calico Blackie says:
250 million dollars? Bread and circuses for the masses is getting pretty pricey these days.
I wonder how much it costs these days to take a family of four to a game if you don’t want to sit in the nosebleed seats?
On that note….

Officer Pike
The cop with the pepper spray at UC Davis is Lt. John Pike of University of California Police. 530-752-3989
He should be fired and prosecuted for assault.
Make an example of him to show our police around the country what can happen to them if they use brutality on citizens.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET, NOR WILL WE ACCEPT A “SINCERE” APOLOGY.
We’ve got to fight back.
If we’re all just a bunch of “dirty hippies” with “no message,” what are they so afraid of?
Why do they keep bringing out armies of riot police to crush us?
We must demonstrate our resolve to protect freedom!

SHUT THEM DOWN
OCCUPY WALL STREET
SHUT DOWN THE PORTS
“While The Sun Still Shines”
We are the 99%
