The title of today’s column refers to Reverend Niemoller and his famous quote.
First, they came for the Occupiers, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t an “Occupier.”
Then, they came for the Anaheim Protesters fighting against killer cops, and I didn’t speak up because I’m not in Anaheim.
Then, they came for the lawful gun owners, and I didn’t speak up because I’m not a gun owner.
Next they will come for the livestreamers for showing the people the truth, and we won’t speak up because we’re not livestreamers.
Then, they will come to enslave us all, and there will be no one left to speak for us.
Not to mention that chicken is pumped full of hormones and GMO poison.
Who else thinks this “lawful order to disperse” crap makes damn near every freedom loving American capable of thinking for themselves cringe?
Freedom of assembly, even PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY until the cops tell you to stop makes me REAL uncomfortable.
Another thing happening is we’re still allowing ourselves to be sidetracked and led by the 1% and their border collie mainstream media.
We get herded away from issues that have a direct effect on the 1% and we go straight for the issues that have absolutely no effect on Wall Street or their wholly-owned subsidiary in Washington DC..
AND WE FALL FOR IT.
I’m not saying Chic-Fil-A is right in their stance.
They’re wrong.
But, in the big picture, who cares what they think? Don’t like their views? Don’t eat there. Boycott. Let the bigoted idiots eat there all they want.
Imagine sterile hillbillies?
Let them fatten up on genetically modified and hormone treated foods. Remember the study conducted on lab rats which were fed a diet of genetically modified food?
They (the rats) were fine, but 100% of their grandchildren were born sterile.
So, maybe Monsanto and Chic-Fil-A can team up and rid us of these idiots.

Meanwhile, we get poisoned by our food, the air we breathe is getting worse, the economy is in the toilet, human rights are taking a beating (yeah, I know: Chick-Fil-A), the police are militarized, and the only part of our American Constitution the politicians seem to give a shit about is the Fifth Amendment.
So, what can we do? We OCCUPY!
But when I talk to some of my more liberal minded friends about these topics and how it seems as if The Occupy Movement is the main voice speaking out against corruption, greed, oppression, poison in our food, and police violence, what do I hear?
“Part of the problem was that you didn’t have a well defined message and couldn’t police yourselves. So you got pacifists, animal rights people, communists, anarchists and vagrants all in one uncontrollable mass of people, sometimes with really bad results. See, e.g., Oakland.”

Officer John Pike of the UC Davis Police is no longer a cop.
So a worker bee gets fired and the folks in the admin building continue to draw their pay and perks.
Meanwhile, the restive natives run in circles displaying the scalp they took, thinking it’s some kind of victory.
He should be in jail right now and the people who authorized his brand of brutality should also be sharing his cell.
They threw us the piss-boy while the leaders got off scot-free. Pike was just their tool.
Nazi police action in 1938. We’ve already seen scenes like this here/now in the United States. So, what will cause the spark that ignites the prairie fire?
There is going to be a time, and I fear it is going to be soon, that with the over-militarization of the police and the enmity that it is earning with the populace will create an explosive situation.
People protest in a large number.
Police in riot gear show up.
Police tell people to disperse.
People refuse, since it is non-violent, legal protesting.
Something happens to escalate to violence (cop infiltrators throwing rocks?).
People collectively snap, turning on the police instead of trying to escape.
Since the people outnumber the police, police force gets brutalized, maybe even murdered.
Will history repeat itself? Will it again be confined to an isolated incident?
Then what?
I shudder to think that this could all be prevented by the police backing down off the militarization route they are on, and actually learn to do REAL police work, talk to the people they are supposed to protect.
When will the next Kent State, or Boston Massacre happen?
WHERE will it happen? It’s not a matter of “if” it happens anymore.
It’s going to happen, and we had better be mentally and physically ready for it.
So….
This got me to thinking: “Will the police shoot live ammunition and kill peaceful protesters in this country if they are ordered to do so?”
I posed this question to my friends on twitter who I know are in the “front lines” of the protest and Occupy Movements.
Here are some of their replies:
Kent State, 1968. The military was called in and four students were shot dead. Whatever became of the shooters who were “only following orders”? The whole world was watching and the police didn’t give a damn
“I think it depends drastically on the officer and the circumstances. I’d like to hope not.”
“Sadly, yes, I think those motherfuckers will.”
“Only if they want people to fire back and declare martial law, which is unnecessary and counterproductive for the M-I-C. So, no.”
“In A Peaceful Protest , The World Is Watching.”
“It depends on the cop. Heck, even on the city.”
“I think smart fascists know people are better controlled when there’s no body count.”
“Maybe even when not ordered to. I’m just waiting.”

Oh yeah, they’ll kill us alright. And maybe even a few of them might lose their jobs after a few months of “administrative leave with pay.” There will be the usual hand-wringing, and people will slap another ribbon on their car, but basically, nothing will be done about it…..

The “2nd Amendment folks” have already fired at the militarized police forces. AND THEY’RE BETTER EQUIPPED TO DO SO THAN WE “OCCUPIERS” ARE. Time to form alliances?

Unfortunately, any time there is a Ruby Ridge, a Waco, or a Pine Ridge, the citizens who wouldn’t allow themselves to be pushed around by the government and insisted that their rights be respected, are branded as “nutcases” by the mainstream media.
The “nutcases” are either killed or imprisoned and we tend to forget all about it within the week.
Why do we forget?
We either get “Chic-Fil-A’d” or some celebrity gets divorced and/or shows their ass.
Meanwhile, John Pike is still roaming free to show up next as a cop in YOUR town.
The Waco ATF thugs are still on the job.
The FBI sniper that murdered a woman at Ruby Ridge is drawing his pension.
And the Kent State killers all got to go on with their lives as if nothing ever happened.
AND, Leonard Peltier is still sitting in prison for what happened at Pine Ridge.
People: We’ve got to fight and NEVER LET UP!
Our oppressors might already be too strong to defeat. They have the weapons. They have the media. They have the majority of the people bamboozled and hypnotized.
They’re killing our bodies and our brains with their prescription drugs, their GMO foods, and their worthless “Reality” shows.
Is this the future you want?

Here is what I see happening now and in the immediate future in our country:
First, our “freedom” will be severely limited and we will be subjected to an overwhelming torrent of propaganda from the 1% and their media.
Then, strict gun control laws will be enacted and only the criminals and the criminal police forces will have weapons.
He tried to warn us
Next, the livestreamers will all be rounded up and “re-educated.” Some might even turn on us and “livestream” what the cops tell them to film.
Then, any form of dissent will be denounced in the press as the work of “nutcases.”
Any remaining form of protest will be crushed.
We will ALL be slaves at the mercy of the 1%.
It might already be too late to 1776, but I’ll die trying to prevent 1984.

NO MATTER HOW UNEASY – WE’VE GOT TO FORM ALLIANCES.
We’ve got to put aside our differences to fight the REAL enemy.
The other day I heard somebody gleefully announce: HAVE YOU SEEN ANAHEIM? IT’S ON! IT’S STARTED!
Heh. I won’t believe “it’s on” until a group of protesters gets kettled and another group of protesters arrives, overpowers the police, and frees the people being kettled.
I wont believe “it’s started” until we have another Pine Ridge, Ruby Ridge, or Waco-style siege by the Feds and local police, and another large group of citizens counterattacks the Feds from the outside and leads a breakout/rescue attempt.
Until then, we’re just getting our asses kicked in the name of liberty.
