America is becoming a huge pawn shop where we will sell everything that was once so important to us and get in return as little as possible from the pawn shop operators.
We’re being forced into these economic corners and yet we go blindly on, selling until we have nothing left to sell but ourselves.
Our prized possessions, our freedom, our way of life, our own beliefs, our honor, our children’s future and even our souls all sold in an attempt to maintain some sort of decent life for ourselves.
We’ve become a nation of deluded and jaded whores and Wall Street is the pimp.

We argue amongst ourselves about the merits of whether it is better to be sold by a Republican pimp, or a Democrat pimp while we go about our daily lives, just struggling to “get by.”
Yet, our politicians are whores too, only they get to ride in the front seat of the Cadillac while we have to walk the streets. Their selling price is higher than ours.
I personally don’t have the luxury of being able to give a damn anymore.
When it’s a daily losing battle to just hang on to having a roof over your head, we tend to let the politicians and the political races run their course without paying as much attention to them as we used to when we still believed it truly mattered who won or lost.
Oh, I’ll still vote in the next election, but it will be a vote that is a desperate and forlorn hope.
It’s our last stand and nobody seems to be listening.

America is a place where we discuss our favorite flavor of Starbucks coffee without mentioning the fact that they own massive coffee plantations where the workers live in horrible poverty and it would take them 3 days wages to buy a single cup of that coffee we enjoy.
We don’t want to hear any of the downsides. We prefer to be led like sheep into the slaughterhouse without the uncomfortable reminder of where our leaders are taking us.

We latch onto the lies we’ve been fed since childhood in a vain hope that the people who are trying to warn us about the continuing deterioration of society are wrong, and the devils who are selling us down the river are right.
We want to believe that things will turn around eventually if we just “stay the course.”
We don’t want bad news. We want sunshine and unicorns, and Wall Street and their politicians and media understands this all too well.
That’s why we’re fed a steady stream of news that doesn’t really matter.
We would rather see and hear about who’s on the red carpet.

That’s why we hear more about entertainers than we hear about what’s really going on in the world.
That’s why the media plays up any bit of news that has a chance of keeping us divided and fighting among ourselves.
And we eat it up like candy. News that has the potential to awaken us is carefully kept on the local level by the media and their 1% masters.
How many of you know that there are still “occupy” encampments and protests around the nation?
How many of you knew there was a massive women’s rights protest outside of the Virgina State Capitol a couple of days ago?
How many of you know that Occupy Oakland holds weekly marches to protest police brutality and the excesses of the 1%?
How many of you know that there are plans of action being drawn up this very minute to protest what is happening to us in this country at the hands of Wall Street?
Do you think it will make a difference who gets into the White House to these inhabitants? This isn't the 3rd world. This is Fresno, California
How many of you still think that it will make one bit of difference who gets into the Wall Street owned White House in November if the pimps still have it and us under their control?
