Greetings to all people who stand up for our rights!

UC Campus Protest. 1969. Same as it ever was

Here’s something to think about…….

Total cost to the United States of Iraq-Afghan wars to date:

$3,200,000,000,000

Total population of Iraq & Afghanistan:

61,000,000

That’s enough money to have given EACH person in those two countries, every man, woman and child, $52,459.01 apiece.

Link to the cost is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_cost_of_the_Iraq_War

As of August 2, 4,683 Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan since the launch of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) on October 7, 2001 and Operation Iraqi Freedom, which began with the invasion of Iraq on March 19, 2003.

Same as it ever was

Link to American death toll is here: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/terrorism/a/iraqdeath1000.htm

Calico Blackie asks:

What have we gained?

Hell, we could have given each citizen of those two countries $52,459.01 apiece, opened up Costco Stores and Chevrolet dealerships in Baghdad and Kabul, sold them American Made goods and made a profit.

Where would the money come from, you ask?

Do like the banks do and borrow it from the Federal Reserve at 0-1% interest.

Pay it back to them while charging credit card interest rates for lay-away/credit to the Afghans and Iraqis.

Same as it ever was

What would you rather have?

Our sons and daughters killed in foreign wars to help feed the greed of Wall Street?

Or would you rather subject the people of Iraq and Afghanistan to the same type of economic slavery that we have here in the United States?

What price tag do we and Wall Street put on our sons and daughters?

PLEASE…..

SPEAK UP.

Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan-Chase. This man is killing our children so that he and his shareholders can profit

Since we’re talking about freedom…….

Judge rules against Occupy Boston protesters, clearing way for eviction; Mayor Menino urges them to leave

Occupy Boston protesters yesterday lost their court battle to stay in a downtown Boston encampment indefinitely, a judicial decision that won praise from Mayor Thomas M. Menino, who, for the first time, told the frustrated demonstrators it was time to pack up and leave.

“We applaud the judge for clearly recognizing the city’s authority to protect all of our residents, including those currently at Dewey Square,” Mayor Thomas M. Menino said in a statement.

Judge Frances McIntyre ruling against the 1st Amendment

“Our first priority has always been and will always be to ensure the public’s health and safety.

Occupy Boston update: 46 arrests made since 5am, most for trespassing, others for resisting arrest.

Calico Blackie says:

There’s “public health and safety” again. Looks like all of our rulers are on the same page.

Also…….

Anti-Wall Street groups arrive for Washington meet

Hundreds of anti-Wall Street protesters and union activists on Monday began to arrive in Washington for a campaign in which they aim to “Take back the Capitol from corporate control.”

TAKE IT BACK!

A week of demonstrations and sit-ins are planned “in the name of the 99 percent,” that the anti-corporate movement says has been sidelined as lobbyists have bought up the US political system for the benefit of big business.

Around 3,000 people are expected in around 15 tents deemed the “People’s Camp” on the National Mall near the massive white dome of the US Capitol, the home of Congress, also near the White House.

Here is a comment I read:

God, are these derelicts still trying to make everybody in the city as miserable as they are? Go occupy a job and stop interfering with other people’s work.

Merry Christmas! Did you hear my son was killed in Afghanistan today? Let’s go shopping!

You keep on occupying and I’ll keep working and paying taxes so you can leach off of welfare and continue being a useless member of society. You had a nice run, occupiers.

Merry Christmas.

Calico Blackie says:

More of the same old chant from either corporate shills, or from people that have chosen to believe the propaganda machine of their masters.

Stop kidding yourselves…we are not free.

We have not been free for a long time.

When police are militarized and treat non-violent protesters like terrorists we can be sure that we lost our freedom long ago.

Letting freedom ring?

When we have people and a propaganda machine in this country that defends large banks and corrupt politicians after they bankrupted the world while making themselves billions, we know that something is wrong with our thinking…

We are not asking for handouts.

We are asking for business to get its hand out of our pockets and stop lining their pockets so heavily that they do not create new jobs, that are not linked to the prison industrial complex.

We are also asking that companies stop shipping all the jobs here over seas…

Made in China

If you think we have the same amount of freedom now as we did 25 years ago and that Wall Street/Gov is not to blame for what happened, then PLEASE WAKE UP and start seeing reality.

So, what have we done so far?

We pointed the finger at the core problem in American politics.

The legalized corruption of our government that keep American people’s voices from being heard.

That our government was not ours anymore, and that the people to blame for the financial melt down were walking away scot-free (with bonuses) because they owned the government, while the rest of us are left picking up the tab.

That lobbyists should NOT be writing laws for our representatives.

Pointed at YOU, Wall Street

If we’re “derelicts” and “useless members of society” (dangerous Nazi philosophy, I might add), then why is the 1% so scared of us?

The rather emotionally and physically violent reactions to us indicates to me that we are right on target with our grievances.

Remember:

The instant you see a candidate face on TV, they have been bought.

You vote them in, and they forget you exist no matter how many letters you write.

The system is broken, and it’s up to us patriots to attempt to fix it. No matter what the corporate shills and the mainstream media say about us.

But hey….

This was the lead story in Yahoo “news” this morning:

Jennifer Aniston Voted Hottest Woman of All Time

“Hottest” of all time?

Jennifer Aniston beat every single famous lady (past and present) out there in a recent Menshealth.com poll, which anointed her the Hottest Woman of All Time.

Calico Blackie says:

HOTTEST OF ALL TIME????

Then, there’s this………

Cilantro recall under way in 7 states including CA

The cilantro, also known as coriander, was distributed in California, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Indiana, South Carolina and Missouri through retailers. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal illness in children, the elderly, or those with compromised immune systems. Each bunch has “Pacific” on the twist tie and the UPC code 33383 80104.

Hungry?

Calico Blackie says:

In some parts of the country, our water isn’t safe to drink.

Our food is poisoned.

We have a radioactive rubble pile the size of some states floating towards our shores.

We’re still dying in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It’s all going to hell. But, by God!

That Jennifer Aniston sure is hot, isn’t she?

On that note…..

Officer "Puerco" Pike

The cop with the pepper spray at UC Davis is Lt. John Pike of University of California Police. 530-752-3989

He should be fired and prosecuted for assault.

Make an example of him to show our police around the country what can happen to them if they use brutality on citizens.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET, NOR WILL WE ACCEPT A “SINCERE” APOLOGY.

OCCUPY WALL STREET

Don’t forget……..

SHUT IT DOWN!

PROTEST!

RESIST THE MACHINE!

SHUT DOWN THE PORTS

“While The Sun Still Shines”

We are the 99%

Calico Blackie
