THE WAR ON HOMELESSNESS IN AMERICA?

It sounds good when we hear our politicians speak of ending homelessness.

We think of feeding, housing and educating the poor.

But that’s not what Wall Street and their wholly-owned subsidiary in Washington DC means by a “war.” 

What they mean is a different type of eradication.

They mean ending homelessness the same way it was ended in 1936 Berlin.

They mean criminalizing homelessness and locking away the homeless and mentally ill (as was done in Nazi Germany).

Sound farfetched?

Study up on how Germany ended their “homeless problem” in the 1930s. You will be amazed. They either enlisted the homeless and unemployed in the military, or they killed them.

AND, UNLIKE HERE, THEY ALSO STARTED HUGE JOBS PROGRAMS TO PUT SOME OF THE UNEMPLOYED TO WORK. So, are our “leaders” any better than them today?

Ask yourself now: If you can't find a job and are young enough & are forced to join the military to survive, WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO SHOOT YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS IF ORDERED TO DO IT?

Well, to be fair, we’re not rounding up and gassing whole segments of our society. That wouldn’t be profitable.

We have a “jobs” program.

Our massive jobs program is called THE PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

Oh, it’s a war alright. It’s a war on all of us and we’ve GOT to fight back.

Schools closing. Youth programs cancelled. More layoffs.

Yet, the CEO’s still reap record salaries and bonuses while we’re told to be good little citizens and to stop our whining.

After all……

Mayor Michael Nutter. A Democrat. He Doesn't give a damn about you

“A growing number of cities want to tackle the problem of homelessness by outlawing what are known as “acts of daily living” — sleeping, eating and panhandling in public.”

“In Philadelphia, a new rule is targeting not the homeless but those who feed them.”

“When Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter announced the ban on serving food in public parks last March, he said moving such services indoors was part of an effort to raise standards for the homeless.”

“I believe that people, regardless of their station in life, should be able to actually sit down, at a table, to a meal inside, away from the heat and the cold, the rain and the snow, the vehicle exhaust and all the other distractions of everyday city life,” Nutter said at a press conference.

“Indoor facilities, Nutter says, also make it easier to connect homeless people with other supportive services.”

Bullshit, Nutter. Cut the doublespeak.

When someone is hungry, food is food whether you eat it inside or outside.

You’re just trying to make it tougher on those less fortunate than you, and are trying to squash those who try to help the homeless. You’re not trying to help them.

You’re trying to register them.

Here's a family eating outside amid the distractions, heat and exhaust fumes. ARREST THEM. Make them go inside & sit at a table to eat

Will he be shutting down all the outdoor cafes and patios in the city?

He’s attempting to make criminals out of homeless people and the people that help them. My question is: Why is he doing this and who told him to do this?

“Around 30 cities have restricted food sharing in some way.  A growing number of ordinances against loitering, panhandling and camping, don’t just marginalize the homeless.  It really takes the focus off of solutions and puts it much more on restrictions.“

“A Philadelphia city spokesman wouldn’t comment for this story owing to the pending litigation. Similar measures in Las Vegas and, more recently, Houston, have been rolled back after public outcry or legal challenges.”

I wonder how many “geek squad” members were calling the “Occupy” protesters “dirty hippies” last month? 

I wonder how many of them will find themselves homeless if they can’t get a place to stay in their parent’s basement?

The ones who are competent will be pushed out of Best Buy in favor of the ones with “good attitudes” and “great customer service.”  That’s doublespeak meaning that those willing to kiss the asses of management rather than telling customers the truth about a product/issue will stay.

The homeless and mentally ill will find a new home in prison.

A new home alongside the millions in the “first wave” already there for maybe possessing a few joints or some other minor infraction.

The homeless will be the 2^nd wave of new “employees.”

And, to all you rednecks out there who smugly sit back in your recliners and say “fuck ‘em. Let them go to jail. I’m not doing anything wrong”?

Just wait until our government finishes gutting the 1^st Amendment and uses our lack of free speech as a tool to gut the 2^nd Amendment. Gutting the 1st Amendment while you said NOTHING.
