Greetings from the 99% in Rural America
on November 1, 2011 at 11:22 amGood Morning!
Greetings from the middle of nowhere!
We are the forgotten Americans. We live in small towns across the country and have always been counted on, in the past, to support the 1%, listen to Fox “news” and to vote for whichever candidate was against our best interests.
NOT ANY MORE! We are fed up too.
We’ve always supported “family values” and had a “live and let live” attitude as long as people left us alone. We’ve never trusted outsiders. We value the Constitution and what it stands for. We’ve always worked hard. We’re, for the most part, honest good citizens of this great country. We fly the flag. We own guns.
Why are we fed up too?
Lately a change has been coming over us. The economy is destroying our families, by forcing us to go to other parts of the nation to look for work.
Our core structure is being broken up by the 1% to satisfy their greed.
We’re waking up to the fact that our small communities are being destroyed and that the Constitution is being ignored by our government.
Our houses and farms are being foreclosed. Our public lands are being taken over by pot growers and by big city lawyers who cynically fly the environmentalist flag, but in reality have just figured out a way to make a nice living for themselves.
They don’t want compromise. It’s their way or nothing.
No “middle ground.” The environmentalists want to save it all.
The timber industry wants it all.
We’re stuck in the middle.
Neither side gives a damn what WE THE PEOPLE want.
Our children are being sent overseas to die in foreign lands, for what?
We have a feeling that we’re now powerless. We’re looking for solutions and realize that we have to find our own solutions.
We have become the 99%.
We’re not Tea Partiers.
We just don’t like being messed with.
On that note……What’s going on with the nationwide protests?
Let’s dive right in.
Portland police clear Occupy Portland encampment at Terry Schrunk Plaza
“Portland police removed occupy Portland protesters from Terry Schrunk Plaza about 4 a.m. today, taking down tents and arresting nine protesters in what was ultimately a tense but non-violent raid.”
“Dozens of officers wearing helmets and holding nightsticks lined three sides of the park, keeping demonstrators out while the encampment was dismantled. Groups of Occupy Portland campers stood nearby, taunting officers and screaming, “The whole world is watching,” and “The tents will go back.”
“Lt. Robert King, those a Portland police spokesman, said the event was a largely peaceful one. He said police had made nine arrests; individuals will face federal charges. King said police chose the early hour for the raid so people would be sleeping and the streets would be relatively empty of cars.”
Occupy Oakland Calls for a GENERAL STRIKE tomorrow.
OAKLAND, Calif. —
“Occupy Oakland organizers said Monday that they are calling for work stoppages, school walkouts and the closure of banks and corporations during a general strike and mass day of action that’s planned for Wednesday.”
“The strike goals are “solidarity with the worldwide occupy movement, ending police attacks on our communities and defending Oakland schools and libraries.” She said the fourth goal is opposing what she described as “an economic system built on imperialism, inequality and corporate power that perpetuates all forms of oppression and the destruction of the environment.”
“Demonstrations will converge at the corner of 14th Street and Broadway at three different times to make the day of action as accessible to as many workers as possible: 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m.”
“The entire world is fed up and the strike is a warning shot to the 1 percent whose wealth only exists because it takes it from the 99 percent.”
More photos from that “homeless costume” party I spoke of yesterday.
Remember their faces.
When the 1% has no more use for them, they will be on the street.
Their time in the front seat of “Pimpdaddys Cadillac” will be over.
“Wall Street’s little whores.”
I hope they’re making movies in the San Fernando Vally porn industry this time next year.
THAT would be JUSTICE.
Hey! I’ve heard reports that NYPD is sending “undesireables” over to Zuccotti Park.
If this is true:
OWS has lots of donors and volunteers, so why not do the exact same thing but bus them all to Wall Street with the promise of free booze and cigarettes once they arrived?
Promise all the freaks and weirdos free booze out in Times Square and alert the news media so that they can film the giveaway.
That way, the whole world can see what the 1% is best at producing – profits for themselves while the masses are becoming people completely devoid of hope.
This is a double edged sword and OWS should swing it in front of cameras so the whole world can see.
When did it all start going to hell?
It started becoming a mess when any average joe with a few spare bucks could create an account online and trade.
Used to be, you would research a company and discuss it with your broker before investing in a stock.
Now, on the slightest bit of bad news, it’s SELL SELL SELL! And on good news, it’s BUY BUY BUY!
All carefully manipulated by the 1% to bilk the average joe out of his money.
For the small investor, the bull/bear market is dead, all that’s left is the sheep market
Hey!
Has anybody else noticed that Rush Limbaugh looks suspiciously like Dennis Hof?
For those that don’t know who Dennis Hof is…..I used to live in Nevada and he’s pretty well known there.
Just remember…
We The People in Rural America are the 99% too.
We don’t believe the lies of Fox “news” and the 1% anymore.
We support the Constitution. All of it.
We are strong.
We are united.
GENERAL STRIKE TOMORROW!
OCCUPY WALL STREET
We are the 99%
