Greetings from The 99% on the Klamath River!

The White House Christmas Tree

They lit the White House Christmas tree this week.

I’m sure it was a cheery ceremony and everyone went away feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.  See all the lights on the tree?

Ooh! What poverty? What protesters? What war?

All is well! Don’t worry. Be happy. Don’t be a spoilsport.

It’s the season that we celebrate “The Brotherhood of Man.”

Every single one of those lights on that tree could represent the loss of 10,000 jobs. Every one of those lights on that tree could be symbolic of 10,000 people killed in for-profit wars.

“The Brotherhood of Man?”

When I look at that tree, every one of those lights represents an OWS protester who is fighting for equal rights and a square-deal for all. Why is it so hard for people to understand this?

What's to understand here?

I’ve been reading the “comments” sections of other websites regarding the “occupy” protests and am constantly reminded of the remarks made at the beginning of the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

People who warned of an explosion and/or meltdown at the plant were constantly berated and belittled as being “stupid alarmists” that were speaking from ignorance, with “little knowledge of how a nuclear powerplant works.”

Many of those critical of the “alarmists” were later outed as being industry shills.

So, why support Occupy Wall Street?

Successful people are currently supporting and participating in the protests along with those who are currently getting screwed by the system for two reasons.

First, they realize that if things keep going they way they are, even the upper end of the middle class is going to get a nice big shafting before too long.

By choosing to do nothing, you play into the hands of your corporate masters

Secondly, they have enough of a grasp on reality to see that helping the less fortunate benefits them in the long run.

It’s not about wealth. It’s about the wealthy purchasing tyranny with that wealth.

Here are two comments I read this morning:

“I have come to expect very little from my fellow human beings.

Doomed as they are to continually repeat their bloody history, I have begun to realize that it is a waste of time to attempt to stem the tide of their unrelenting humanity; instead, I will embrace the fact that all I can do is try to find amusement in their suffering.”

And:

“There is too much money and power at stake to allow any real change. The only “populist reformers” who get into office are the sock puppets of rich special interests. So, why bother?”

Yeah. Why bother?

Calico Blackie says:

That’s exactly what the 1% wants you to do.

Welcome to the future, you tools.

To be fair, most folks don’t give a rat’s ass about tyranny these days, as long as they get theirs and they look like they’re on “the right side of things.”

Adolph Hitler and Joseph Goebbels understood this perfectly.

Apathy of the masses is the greatest asset of the oppressors.

I believe that the 1% has hijacked his country, they are exporting our jobs, forcing long hours and dual incomes for any family who just wants any sort of stability, if they are lucky enough.

They care more about increasing their own, already amazing, bank accounts than they do about the sustainability of this country that I love.

The middle class is being destroyed.

ASK QUESTIONS!

True success is for the intelligent and diligent, but there is no reason why somebody with minimal skills and intelligence cannot make a living wage in this country.

I am the 99%.

I will always speak out.

I will always stand up for our rights.

Even if that means jail.

Did you read about this in the news?

From KTVU

Four injured in two separate East Oakland shootings

Two separate shootings, occurring within blocks of each other, left four people injured Friday night.

Not an "occupy" protest

The first shooting happened at 7:30 p.m. at 76th Street and McArthur Avenue, when an unknown person or persons fired several shots outside an East Oakland apartment complex.

Calico Blackie says:

So, is Mayor Quan going to kettle East Oakland, tear gas and rubber bullet the people, and then make them all disperse in the interest of “public safety” because there were shootings in the area?

Also, I’ve been reading in the media that the 99% Movement is “losing steam.”  Hmmm. Could that be part of the government campaign to discredit the movement?

Does this look like “losing steam?”

AND ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!

From The Orlando Sentinel

Occupy Orlando gets deadline for moving possessions

Code-enforcement officials, police cite violations, complaints near Senator Beth Johnson Park

ORLANDO, FLORIDA

Occupy Orlando protesters said late Friday they have been told they must remove their possessions from a strip of grass near Senator Beth Johnson Park by midnight Sunday.

Police and code-enforcement officials told the group earlier Friday that there have been complaints about the tents, signs and other belongings that are in a strip of grass between the sidewalk and South Ivanhoe Boulevard overnight.

“This is an eviction,” protester Brian Foster, 21, said. “You can’t evict an idea.”

“Two or three people complained,” he said. “One hundred people honked in solidarity. There are so many people that support us.”

Calico Blackie says:

The will of the people is being ignored, yet there are still suckers in this country that are all right with this happening.  They’re the “willfully ignorant” going about their Stepford lives.

YEE-HAW! Why are they protesting?

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s prairiefirenews and your “safety” under the “Patriot Act”

Ever wonder why we build so many prisons in this country?

Ever wonder why there’s such a costly “war on drugs?”

Ever wonder why the “Patriot Act” was enacted?

Slave labor camps.

Back in the 1940s, Nazi industrialists had a whole pool of cheap workers to choose from.

On that note…..

The cop with the pepper spray at UC Davis is Lt. John Pike of University of California Police.

Call 530-752-3989 and demand justice.

He should be fired and prosecuted for assault.

Make an example of him to show our police around the country what can happen to them if they use brutality on citizens.

The only "gated community" most poor Americans will ever see

WE WILL NEVER FORGET, NOR WILL WE ACCEPT A “SINCERE” APOLOGY.

And if you are not speaking up?

Remember today’s column 10 years from now when you’re given your new “gated community” accommodations.

We’ll leave the light on for you!

GET OUT! PROTEST!

DO IT NOW!

“While The Sun Still Shines”

OCCUPY WALL STREET

SHUT IT DOWN!

We are the 99%
